Welcome to a winter sports area in a class of its own

Solda all’Ortles is not just the most traditional ski resort in South Tyrol. Away from the slopes, the high alpine mountains offer plenty of fun and variety in the snow. Cross-country fans have the beautiful panoramic mountain trails. Ski mountaineers have the demanding peak experiences. Ice climbers have the artificial ice towers or frozen waterfalls. Hikers in winter have the delightful panoramic trails through snowy forests. 

Cross-Country Skiing

With its perfectly groomed slopes, the Stelvio National Park is an absolute paradise for cross-country skiers. One of the highest trails in Europe awaits in Solda at 1,900 m above sea level. Owing to its height, it’s possible to cross-country ski here from November until April. Another trail can also be found in Trafoi, where you can glide through a romantic spruce forest.  
 
 

Ice Climbing

Whether an extreme climber or beginner, the artificial ice towers and frozen waterfalls in Solda are perfect for everyone. But there also has to be a certain amount of courage for the challenge involved. You can find suitable equipment at the Ortler Alpine School. It is also possible to book an introductory course on ice climbing here.
 
 

Ski Touring

The mountains of the Ortles range have 14 peaks three thousand metres high and provide some real challenges with their numerous attractive ski tours. Ski tourers can either head off on their own or be accompanied by the Orlter Alpine School or the ‘feel the mountains’ Alpine school. Either way, it’s a unique experience. In the realm of King Ortles.
 
 

Winter Hiking

Whether with or without snowshoes. The snowy forests, quaint huts and well-groomed hiking trails entice you to spend some relaxing hours surrounded by nature. During the colder months, the Ortles region is transformed into a real winter wonderland that is worth discovering. For example, the panorama in Solda or the winter hiking trails to the Tre Fontane Sacre.
